John joined in 2025 as Interim CEO of Acubed while also serving as Vice President of Engineering at Airbus Americas, a role he has held since 2010. With over four decades of diverse experience spanning product development, production support, flight test and aftermarket engineering he brings a unique perspective that bridges traditional aerospace with the cutting-edge innovation of Acubed, the Silicon Valley Innovation Center of Airbus. His breadth of expertise provides Acubed with a balanced and deeply informed aerospace foundation, strengthening its ability to drive transformative advancements.
Prior to his time at Airbus, John's career included a distinguished tenure in the Marine Corps as a Naval Flight Officer, where he gained valuable leadership and operational experience. He then spent nine years at Raytheon Aircraft, where he contributed to engineering and program management on both production and new aircraft development programs.
John is an instrument-rated private pilot and enjoys flying as often as possible. He also serves as Chairman of the Wichita Aero Club Education Committee, reflecting his commitment to the future of the industry.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, a Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, and an MBA from Wichita State University. John and his wife, Laurie, live in Benton, Kansas, and have two grown sons and four granddaughters.
