The Opportunity

Acubed is seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will support the Director of Human Resources in assisting employees and prospective candidates. This role requires working onsite at the Acubed headquarters, located in Sunnyvale, CA. As part of the Human Resources team, you will partner with our teams to guide and support them with various requests. More specifically, you will support the smooth onboarding of new hires, help and provide answers to inquiries regarding employee benefits, talent management, performance management, professional development, and annual open enrollment as well as oversee some social events and scheduling, among other assigned duties. 


  • Conduct new hire orientations, HR information dissemination and exit interviews
  • Oversee new hire paperwork and ensure employee training
  • Support and improve prospective candidates’ and new employees’ experience with and at Acubed
  • Coordinate relocation support for new hires when needed
  • Administer employee benefits, such as flight training, tuition reimbursement, and others
  • Ensure new hire paperwork is completed and processed with the parent company’s PeopleOps team
  • Help explain company policies and benefits to new and existing employees
  • Ensure HR policies and practices are applied consistently and provide direction to first-line managers with the support from the Director of HR when needed 
  • Perform data entry and personnel file maintenance; assist Airbus Americas’ HR team with the personnel information upon request
  • Conduct HR training when necessary and present HR updates at the company-wide All-Hands
  • Process all personnel action forms and ensure correct and timely data entry in HRIS
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly HR reports for additions and terminations, PTO balances, and other HR data analytics reports as requested
  • Send out weekly surveys to new hires and hiring managers, creating an actionable plan based on the feedback received
  • Partner with Acubed Leaders and support functions teams to implement value-add HR programs
  • Perform goods receipts for HR team as well as related expenses and payments 
  • Actively participate in social event planning with the aim of fostering an inspiring company culture


  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Human Resources generalist or relevant experience supporting teams in California
  • Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated level of rigor in your work 
  • Advanced google sheets knowledge and excel, including experience with Pivot Tables and VLOOKups
  • Solid presentation skills
  • Understanding of California employment laws 
  • Experience with creating HR dashboards 
  • Ability to conduct research, access resources, prioritize and juggle multiple projects
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information by virtue of supporting HR 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to professionally engage with employees of all levels in the organization
  • A natural customer service orientation with a mindset of continuous learning and adaptability
  • Documented proof of fully vaccinated status required (or qualify for an exemption)

Preferred Qualifications 

  • PHR, SHRM-CP and other HR-related certifications highly preferred
  • Advanced Google Suite and Microsoft office. Knowledge of Workday, BambooHR, ADP Vantage, and Greenhouse ATS is ideal
  • A good understanding of US immigration policies is a plus
  • Ability to convey the fun, excitement, and fast pace of the Acubed organization while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service deeply rooted in our culture and values
  • Experience working in fast-paced organizations or startups
  • A demonstrated ability to proactively identify needs without being asked
  • Flexibility to adjust and proactively respond to the ever-changing needs of the organization
